Sometimes this "
Pekin
" pattern in the green colorway is difficult to find, so we feel very lucky to have this piece to offer a lucky collector. It is a round covered candy jar. We have also heard sometimes this was used as a powder jar with a powder puff for a vanity or dresser accessory.
It measures 6 inches across and 2-1/4 inches high. The backstamp indicates it was made for the Jay-Willfred Co, Ltd in the United States during the 1940's thru 1950's.
The piece is free from chips and repairs, but it is show signs of aging. The gold edging is wearing in some areas, and crazing is present all over the piece.
I double box all breakables for shipping, so the parcel may end up being a bit heavier than expected.
