    Charming Vintage Royal Winton Grimwades "Marguerite" Jam Jar, Ivory Gold Trim
    Royal Winton is an English brand of fine bone china tableware that was made by Grimwades Limited, a company founded in 1885.
    In 1928 the company's first chintz pattern "Marguerite" was introduced and found fast success. The detailed and vibrant all-over floral pattern became synonymous with this renowned brand and its makers.
    Royal Winton Chintz was discontinued in the early 1960s due to high production costs. While production began again in the mid 1990s, newer pieces are clearly dated to avoid confusion between vintage and contemporary examples.
    Fine condition without chips or damage. Glaze shows minimal crazing consistent with age. Interior rim of lid shows minor discoloration consistent with age. Height with Lid, 4 inches. Width at waist, 3.5 inches. Width at foot, 2.25 inches.
