Vintage Royal Winton Grimwades CABBAGE ROSES, Signed by ZKAS
Handled 10.25" Cake Plate
Made in England
Lovely condition - vibrant rose transfer with lovely artist applied background adorn this plate
Black Script "Royal Winton Grimwades" backstamp with "England" & "A" in logo
Backstamp dates to 1950
Desirable Handled Cake Plate with "Figure 8" holes in the handles
Cake Plate measures approximately 10.25" from handle edge to handle edge and 9.25" on the opposite side.
Plate is signed by artist "ZKAS"
ZKas is the artist Z. Kasinski who was  one of three Polish war refugees (J. Rywacki, M. Lutz, and Z. Kasinski or Kazinski) painted most of such patterns.

, p. 77, discussed them: “Three of the painters are displaced persons who have found a home and a new skill in Stoke.”
