  • Condition: The mill does work and has been used. There are some scuffs and small chips to the paint on the housing. The glass coffee catcher has 2 chips, but they are not that noticeable when the catcher is in place. Also, the green paint on the wood handle is mostly worn off and there is quite a bit of play in the wood handle knob - probably from shrinkage. Please see close-up pictures.

    Description

    DESCRIPTION:
    Vintage Koffie PeDe (Peter Dienes) wall mount coffee grinder with glass coffee catcher. Heavy cast metal construction, the grinder is mounted to a wood board that would mount to your wall. The color is cream and green, as are the KOFFIE and Pe De labels. Wood handle knob.
    The mounting board has a soft arch top and measures about 13 3/8" tall and 5 1/8" wide. With the handle, the grinder protrudes about 6 5/8" from the wall. The inside of the lid is stamped 12232. The bottom of the glass coffee catcher is marked 1394 2. The styling is somewhat  Art Deco/Streamline - I would guess this dates from the 1930s to early 1950s.
