Vintage Gillette Sales Co Single Ring Razor Case with Blades made 1905.
The serial number 293538 on the handle would indicate that it was made in 1905. The second full year of production.
The razor has a lovely patina on it. The handle is in very good shape, no cracks. There is a patent date on the handle which was issued just the year before.
The box is in very good shape for its age and usage. The velvet is still intact except in one place with wear spots. The box does lock. NOTE that the ribbon says "Gillette Sales Co." later versions said just Gillette.
The box of blades though opened is still in the original cellophane wrapping. Later made blades.
