VAN HALEN - LICENSE PLATE -vintage 1980s era -new, for display, great condition!

The pictures don't show how shiny and attention grabbing this commemorative license plate truly is!
I purchased this license plate new in the 1980s. It has been displayed indoors only in my home, and no screws were ever put into the mounting holes. I believe that it was designed to be displayed indoors, and not exposed to the elements, as there is a paper backing that covers the reflective coating underneath the plastic surface. I don't think the backing would hold up to the elements, but the front might be ok, at least for awhile. I never mounted it on a car, so I really don't know for sure how long it would last if it was put on a car, especially without a bracket. This license plate is being sold as an indoor display item only, and there are no guarantees implied if you put it on an automobile. There are a few minor scratches / scuffs on the front, but the surface is so reflective that they are only visible when viewing it at a steep angle. One corner of the backing has pulled away slightly (see photos). This is an original, vintage commemorative item in great condition for its 30-ish years of age!
The license plate is so highly reflective that it was nearly impossible to photograph it without seeing my ceiling tiles, ceiling support pillars and even my ceiling-mounted smoke detector reflected in the pictures. The photos don't show the uniform rich burgundy color, and they don't do this item justice. The second photo shows the actual color better, but the graininess that shows up in the photograph is not a part of the license plate, it's just an image effect in the photo. Also my ceiling tiles are reflected as squares, but the surface is actually a uniform deep burgundy color with no background pattern.
