MARBLE OF IRELAND
Ireland has historically been divided into four provinces, the origin of these provinces can be traced to the territories of the great Irish families, ONeill-Ulster,OBrien-Munster, OConnor-Connaught and Mac Murraigh-Kavanagh-Leinster.
Each Province also has its own distinctive marble, Connemara green marble from West Connaught is probably the best known followed by Kilkenny black from Leinster, the lesser known red marble from Cork-Munster and the white marble from Derry-Ulster have their own character and natural beauty.
