RARE ANTIQUE ROYAL WINTON STOKE ON TRENT GRIMWADES LARGE PEDESTAL BOWL ENGLAND
A Lovely rare antique large pedestal serving centerpiece bowl marked (Stoke on Trent)
GRIMWADES ENGLAND, BACKSTAMP DATES THIS BOWL TO THE EARLY 1930'S;
Hand painted with beautiful pink roses & lavender flowers backed up with green and teal leaves. Black background on top and bottom rims. Inside and outside the bowl is painted green and white Adorned with a stripe of gold
Bowl stands 4 5/8’ tall x 8 1/2'’ wide at top of bowl and approx. 5” at bottom of bowl in diameter.
There is a gold stripe around the lower part of the bowl where the same pattern from the top band is also a gold stripe (top stripe is faded from wear)
There is a little antique crazing on the bottom of the bowl near the logo (see photos) Some of the gold is worn on the top edges-all normal for this age of bowl.
One main flaw which is not too noticeable depending on the placement of the bowl. There is a chip on the top rim and a chip off the outside in the same area. (see photos)
YES this is unfortunate being an antique, but this was just so beautiful could not pass it up. Hope you can enjoy it’s beauty as much as I have.
