Description
I've been going through some additional storage boxes and finding some vintage fishing related items that belonged to my grandfather who was a tournament fisherman in the 60's and 70's but have no sentimental value to me so I'm offering them up to a collector who might better enjoy them. This is a very rare, looks unused souvenir keychain from the Florida Sailfish Club Invitational Gold Cup tournament of 1979. It's made of bright yellow plastic and looks unused. During the 50s to 70s, my grandfather was an avid fisherman and competed in several tournaments (he eventually won the Masters Sailfish Tournament when it was held in Palm Beach, FL and I've still got the trophy he won that year). Among the items in that small box of his belongings are several vintage fishing tournament patches (several of which have already been sold), various stickers, a lapel pin (see my other auctions for those items) and this large key chain. As you can see from the pics, it is basically mint except for some very minor spots that look like a manufacturing issue (and which can only be seen if you use the zoom function on the second to last photo. About 4.5" tall and 3.5" wide but but see the pics for the exact dimensions.
Given the rarity of this item, I will send it in a small, flat rate USPS Priority Mail box to ensure it arrives safe and sound.
See my other auctions for more vintage sport fishing trinkets like stickers, patches, stickers, and a key chain.
Unfortunately I do not accept returns unless the item does not comply with the photos. I'm trying to get rid of stuff, not keep it.
