The case is dented on the top but it does not affect the performance.
Tune any instrument you want without changing ANY settings. Ideal for tuning piano.
This is the same tuner as a new NODE 8001 (50.00) & the Peterson SC 5000-II (80.00)
The tuner lights up when powered up.   It might need to be clean/calibrated as it has sat unused for a year or so and is a little dusty.
