Gold MILITARY Safety Razor Kit, 1910
This Military Safety Razor Kit was manufactured by the Gold Manufacturing Company of New York in 1910. The "Gold" name is not on the razor or case but it agrees with the patent date of March 15, 1910, which is engraved on the razor's head. Also, a photo of this same razor and case appears in Robert Waits' Safety Razor Compendium. The razor takes a double-edge thin rigid blade with notched ends and has a cap that flips open. Inside the case are two blade containers marked DULL and SHARP, respectively. There are also 2 wrapped vanadium blades for use in the Military Razor.
The razor set is in very good to excellent condition. Even the snap on the case works.
