  • Condition: These pieces were my Great Grandmother's and are from the 1940's. They show their age with some crazing and a small chip in the saucer also the lid that has been repaired after being broken (see close-up photos). Hard to find with matching fitted saucer.

    Description

    This delicate set of Jam or Sugar pot with Lid and matching fitted saucer from Royal Winton "Royalty" Chintz Collection has it's imperfections but is a wonderful old piece from the 1940's. Very hard to find with the matching fitted saucer. The top was broken decades ago and repaired and there is a chip in the saucer. As can be seen from the photos there is some crazing from age but they are still beautiful pieces and it would be a shame to not get them into the hands of a collector or someone who appreciates their value. Please check all the pictures to see the details.
    The Charlton Standard Catalog of Chintz says this :
    Royalty: The pattern number is 3079. The pattern was introduced at the 1936 British Industries Fair. The "Pottery Gazette" mentioned Royalty again in describing the BIF: "Furnishers long catered for, and others knowing Grimwades prediliction for good chintz colourings, should be attracted to the new ROYALTY pattern."
