    Description

    Up for your consideration is this well-preserved Antique MJF Original Cast-Iron manual single-wheel coffee grinder/mill mounted on a hand-made wooden base. This piece was used for over 60 years on display as part of our family's country farm house before being placed in climate-controlled storage. It shows well on display and still functions as a grinder if desired...a great conversation piece that always struck interest in our house guests. Complete single-wheel design with wooden drawer that has green felt on bottom for ease of sliding. Wooden base is hand-made (originally mounted on counter), which is heavy and wide enough its stable for display and use. Part of our family's eclectic life-long collection of oddities, including special cast-iron pieces like this one.
    Overall condition: USED but in good condition for age, materials, and intended use. It is in working order on hand-made wooden base for display. This piece shows well on display, with some paint rubs/splatters/loss on various areas...paint on side retention nut...scratches on base and wooden pieces...some shaft play/hop (seen in wheel-has always been this way), but still turns around easily and grinds fine. Wooden base is 9"Long  x 9" Wide x 2" Tall, so complete piece is approximately 9" Square x 11 1/2" Tall. Coffee grinder alone is approximately 7 1/2" Long (at wheel) x 6 1/2" Wide x 9 1/4" Tall.
