Description
Vintage teapot in Royal Winton's charming "PEKIN" pattern
Usually found in black, this version of the pattern is in the scarce IVORY colorway
Hand painted Oriental design
ALBANS shape
Largest size (40 ounce) designed for 8 cups of tea
Measures 6 1/4" tall (from tabletop to top of lid finial) and 9 1/2" across from edge of handle to tip of spout
Overall condition - please read carefully: teapot spout has some chips at end and there is visible wear to the gold on the handle; lid has no chips or cracks or other damage and only some wear to the very top of the finial.  Very  clean inside.
There is no visible pottery glaze crazing so common with most Royal Winton pottery pieces
Teapot marked with the standard 1950s Royal Winton Grimwades script mark
Please ignore all white spots on photo caused by camera flash
A great addition to your chintz cupboard even as a display set
Note this is VINTAGE and not the 1995 re-issued Royal Winton chintz
